Bricklaying services, from the first course to the roof
Seven kinds of job, all done by Veaceslav and his team of 2 to 3 bricklayers. Pick one to see the photos from our own jobs.
Bricklaying & brickwork
Bricklaying is the trade behind everything else we do. Every course goes on to a line, every corner is checked with the level, and the joints are finished the same from the first brick to the last.
We lay facing brick and blockwork for new walls, openings, piers and repairs to existing brickwork, matching the bond of the wall already there.
- Facing brick and blockwork
- New openings, piers and returns
- Matching an existing bond
- Joints finished to suit the wall
Extensions
Most of our work is house extensions: rear and side, single storey and two storeys, on bungalows and on family houses.
We build the brick and block walls, form the window and door openings and take the walls up to roof height, so the extension matches the house it is joined to.
- Rear and side extensions
- Single and two-storey
- Window and door openings
- Brick matched to the house
Garden & boundary walls
A garden wall is on show from both sides for years, so it has to be straight along the whole run. We set out the line, keep every course level, even on a sloping garden, and build the piers for gates and posts.
We build new boundary and garden walls, retaining walls along a slope and blockwork walls for garden rooms.
- Front and boundary walls
- Retaining walls on a slope
- Brick piers for gates
- Blockwork for garden rooms
Garages & outbuildings
We build brick garages and outbuildings: the walls, the door and window openings and the walls up to the roof.
- Brick garages
- Workshops and outbuildings
- Door and window openings
New builds
With a team of 2 to 3 experienced bricklayers we take on the brickwork for new houses, working course by course up to the wall plate.
- Brick and block to wall plate
- Gables and openings
- A steady team on site
Repointing
When the mortar between the bricks crumbles, water gets into the wall. Repointing takes the old mortar out of the joints and fills them again, which protects the brick and gives the house its face back.
We rake out the old mortar properly, not just a skim on top, and fill the joints with an electric pointing machine, so the new mortar goes deep and the joints come out even.
- Old mortar raked out
- Joints filled with a pointing machine
- Finish matched to the house
Roofing
Many customers want the walls and the roof done by the same people. We build the roof on the extensions and new builds we put up, so you deal with one team from the first course to the roof.
- Roofs on our extensions
- Roofs on our new builds
- One team, walls to roof
